I think all your points are valid but I think you left out tv ratings as a major motivator for the committee. Size of fan base and sec bias aside, they also want to get the best games which typically translates to higher ratings & more advertising dollars. I’m SURE after seeing the ACC championship ratings & what an ugly display of football FSU brought that they went with what should be a better matchup between Alabama & Michigan. I definitely am much more interested to sit down & watch that as opposed to Michigan-FSU
I also agree that Alabama vs. Michigan is a more fun matchup than Michigan vs. FSU. That just shouldn't weigh into the committee's decision. I'd say Georgia and Ohio State are better teams than FSU, but they didn't go undefeated so they shouldn't be in the CFP.
