The media has also done a great job of misrepresenting his “fringe views” and using that as an excuse to censor. The biggest factor I see is that the two party system doesn’t want to lose it’s grip on power.
The Republican Party would much rather see a Democrat elected than an independent, and vice versa. As long as the charade continues, the same people stay in power.
